Tended is a rapidly-growing tech startup based in Lincoln. We’re on a mission to improve personal safety with intelligent safety systems and accident detection wearables. 

 

We’re developing a solution to improve safety around the world and at the same time disrupting an industry that has seen minimal innovation since it began. We're making immense traction in this space, with products sold worldwide and contracts secured with a number of the world's leading companies. It’s an exciting time to join our growing team (we're predicted to grow from 16 to 40 in the next 12 months), with lots of opportunity for progression.

 

What We’re Looking For

We’re on the hunt for a QA Tester to join our team. We are looking for a talented individual who isn’t afraid to jump straight in at the deep end and is keen to be a key member of the company.

With your QA skills, you will analyse, design and execute effective test strategies, ensuring that our products are developed to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

Main Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly testing Tended's software and products to ensure high quality and stable technology is released to customers
  • Writing and continually improving upon Tended's automated testing suite
  • Writing comprehensive bug reports containing reproducible steps to allow developers to fix issues quickly
  • Continuously improving upon existing testing processes to make them more efficient and effective 

Tended is committed to employee growth and development. Although the skills listed below are desirable, we are always keen to hire people who have passion and drive to learn new skills.

 

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience testing other commercially available software
  • Strong documentation writing skills
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Swift, PHP, C, Python, JavaScript
  • Experience using bug trackers, preferably JIRA
  • Knowledge of automated unit and functional testing, with experience using and developing for Jenkins
