Tended is a rapidly-growing tech startup based in Lincoln. We’re on a mission to improve personal safety with intelligent safety systems and accident detection wearables. 

 

We’re developing a solution to improve safety around the world and at the same time disrupting an industry that has seen minimal innovation since it began. We're making immense traction in this space, with products sold worldwide and contracts secured with a number of the world's leading companies. It’s an exciting time to join our growing team (we're predicted to grow from 16 to 40 in the next 12 months), with lots of opportunity for progression.

We’re on the hunt for a Mobile Developer to join our team. We are looking for a talented individual who isn’t afraid to jump straight in at the deep end and is keen to be a key member of the company.

With your developer skills, will be tasked with the maintenance of our apps, as well as implementing new features in accordance with our roadmap.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver new, and improve upon existing features, pushing regular mobile app updates to our end users
  • Write good quality and maintainable code, adhering to best practices set out by Google or Apple
  • Work alongside other departments to facilitate product development
  • Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality code is deployed to production
  • Write detailed documentation to improve code maintainability

Requirements

Tended is committed to employee growth and development. Although the skills listed below are desirable, we are always keen to hire people who have passion and drive to learn new skills.

 

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficiency with Java or Swift
  • Experience with using mobile IDEs, such as Android Studio or Xcode
  • Knowledge of automated unit and functional testing
  • Experience using version control, preferably Git and Github
  • Previous experience publishing an app to Google Play or the App Store
